Positives: Very secure with the spikes that embed into the tree. The minimal hanging seat is comfortable since there is no hard surface to grind away at body parts. Harness was definitely overkill and safe. Relatively easy to put in position and just start climbing. Reasonable price for a complete climbing system (sans backpack).

Negatives: Heavy, but not unreasonable. Backpack function needs to be upgraded/replaced unless you are a masochist - I bought an aftermarket padded sling. Instructions are minimal with dim/dark photo illustrations.

Conclusion: I had used a similar system many years ago and chose this one because of the added security of the spikes that dig into the bark.
