I'm not sure about other reviews, but you have to be smarter than the ladder! I liked it and hung it up fairly easily. Just take your time, and step up as you tie in the straps. Some trade offs. I did find that maybe having the steps equal on both sides would have been helpful. These are stagger steps. The reason it would be helpful is that you need leverage when lifting the actual stand up into the tree. I was able to do it using my deer/elk gambrel with pulley's and a rope. It made it so much easier. You do need a helping hand for that method. The ladder is very stable and went up within 15 minutes.
