(More customer reviews)I have been in the market for a climbing tree stand for a while. I have a hang on stand which i like as well, however, to me, climbing stands are the way to go. There are many stands in the market, all of which have their pros and cons. This stand is basic, in the set up, nothing really fancy. That is the only downside. The weight does not bother me. Steel stands are heavier than aluminum, but i'm a big guy,(6'5 265)so the weight difference of 6 lbs. is not worth spending an extra $200 on. For people who are 250lbs. plus it's a sturdy stand. This stand takes a few minutes to set up, and in m y opinion is a steal for the price it's sold for. I highly reccomend purchasing one, as a first climber.
